Weekly Update: Welcome HYDRO to ParJar, Parachute newsletter signup, MatchBX Gigs, Wysker Series and Continuous Wyskering... - 22 Mar - 28 Mar'19
Good day everyone! Here’s another update for the whirlwind week we had at Parachute and Parachute/ParJar partners. IRL work keeps me from churning these out on time. Working on catching up quickly to try to post future weekly updates faster: A cool new community started to interact with ParJar this week. HYDRO was added to ParJar and ParJar added to the Hydro group. Fantom did a shoutout and CoinPedia also tweeted about ParJar. Thank you guys! Which makes me think, if this shoutout of the shoutout to our original shoutout is shoutouted by Fantom again, would it be a shoutoutception? Hmm. Also, we had our quirkiest game in ParJar yet. Parachuters had to use this site to find the most bizarre item. Best ones would win some cool PAR. Haha! The top picks were from Patri cko, Cryptovan and Clinton. New Wonders of the World circa 2019 There’s a new email signup link for folks new to Parachute. If you’re not receiving Cap’s emails, you can sign up there. Close to USD 600 has already been raised for the Charity Parena. Woot! To get in, make a small donation (min USD 5 or crypto equivalent directly and let Jason know or tip Clinton through ParJar) and get a chance to win a 1-of-a-kind shirt from the Parachute Shop! Plus, kiddie gear is now available in the Parachute Shop. All profits from the shop go to charity. Games Master Jason turned 34 this week. Belated Happy Birthday to ya Florida Man! We had uber fun with an accidental Cap discovery this week. Add your favorite number at the end of the following link to jump to any chat in the group. For example the following link takes you to the first ever message in Parachute. Awesome! Three Good Bois are counting on you to sign up for the Parachute newsletter The 2gether card was launched on 27th March for use across the Eurozone. The presale event is now listed on ICObench. Make sure to check out the BCT ANN. Admins on their TG are rewarding members with 2GB who make thoughtful posts there. 2gether has an opening for a Java Software Engineer. Have a look at their job listing and apply if you have what it takes! Spanish speakers are in for a treat this week: Cointelegraph discussed about the company in a write-up, founder Salvador’s article on the zero marginal cost concept was featured in a UNIR publication and CEO Ramon’s interview during a Madrid Stock Exchange visit also came out. The 2GT token will be issued as a Virtual Financial Asset (VFA) in Malta. Read more about it here. 2gether is the only one with a regulated token Still figuring out how to deploy your trading algo to your Binance account? Here’s a detailed look on how to set up your API keys and deploying a strategy to live markets on Binance using the Cryzen Code Studio. Also, belated birthday wishes to Shuvro. Hope you had a great one! Folks who haven’t subscribed to the Cryzen YouTube yet, subscribe now. They now have a custom handle. Community member Jonny did a little Cryzen shoutout towards the end of his detailed Crypto Asset Prediction Series. This week’s Saturday Rock Wars at PurpleCoin was for the best guitarist of all time. Jimi Hendrix won the public vote by a whopping margin. BOMB token is looking for ambassadors who can bring “liquidity, awareness, and education to the project”. Learn more about it here. Checked out Wysker Series yet? These are listicles of bundled relevant content aimed at user growth. Design geeks will find it fascinating. Plus, the app will see a new feature soon called Continuous Wyskering. Jonathan says: “After finishing one story, users will no longer have to go back to the home screen to discover new stories. Instead, the next story in line can be accessed with a simple swipe.” Neat! And finally, Birdchain has partnered with Blocklads to bring educational content to the app's learn tab. Look out for new content in that section! Shuvro’s ETC bot showing decent gainz Gigs are now live on MatchBX. Freelancers can create listings for their services directly and job posters can directly hire freelancers from there. Win win! If you’re not sure of what MatchBX is, read up on it here. Plus, the weekly AXPR burn went on as scheduled. Bounty0x crossed 500k+ monthly page views this week with a ~30% return visitor rate. If you’ve participated in a Cures Token bounty on Bounty0x, this article is super relevant. Also, KABN partnered with Bounty0x this week for running promotional bounties for their token offering. The ETHOS token is now listed on the ChangeNOW exchange. Much has been said about the Voyager-ETHOS deal so far. Shingo explains in this article why the partnership will be “setting new standards of transparency”. District0x’s weekly update covers a range of topics including Brady’s interview with A Garden of Crypto on all things District0x. AXPR tokenomics Altcoin Buzz featured Opacity this week and talked about their current development roadmap which includes the 1.0 site launch (which was also this week). Check out opacity.io for a look and feel of what’s in store for May. Badcredit wrote about Horizon State with a detailed piece. The Minister’s Recreational Fishing Advisory Council was announced this week as well. “The voting process has been transparent and historic - for the first time in South Australian Government history, Blockchain technology was used for the voting process." Big up to Horizon State for becoming a part of history! And finally, they closed off the week with a bang by getting listed on CoinExchange.io. John McAfee talks about Switch around the 11 minute mark in this interview with Satoshi Sean. Blockport was the centrepiece of this Coinvision article that explains the ins and outs of both the exchange as well as the BPT/BPS tokens. The Blockport STO is set for April 15th with more details in this post. If you’re interested and live in the EU or the US, the whitelist procedure is explained here. And finally, onto some Fantom news. Coinspeaker elaborates what the myriad partnerships mean for Fantom in this article. Like last week, Fantom capped off this week too with another exchange listing – ChainX. Boom! Thank you for taking the time. See you soon with another weekly update. Cheerio!
Lisk Highlights Weekly roundup March 2nd 2019. The week in which we were selected by Bitpanda!
Hello everybody. The LISK project and it's enthusiasts are always busy, and this week past has certainly been no exception. Seeing is believing, so here is a recap of the highlights and interesting items from the past week on the LISK subreddit and beyond.....
Lisk Sidechain Project Presents at a workshop organized by a head of Volksbank.
Christian Junger, CEO of the MADANA project recently delivered a presentation on blockchain technology, its banking use cases, and how decentralization can strengthen privacy. What was extra special about this presentation was the audience; a consortium of heads of banks. Christian was essentially driving home to these leaders the message that the technology we use today isn’t designed for privacy, it is designed for the opposite - to be found and traced! Volkbank, who organised the workshop are the biggest German bank consortium comprising of 1,099 independent credit unions. Presentations such as this one are a good way to build bonds that will last long past MADANA's main sale and on into the release of the MADANA product. Who knows, maybe some of these banking leaders might even be interested in the MADANA product for their own uses also!
Lisk Sidechain Project Team to Review and Strategise in London this March.
Lisk in space?
My sources tell me that one of the highlights of the first Lisk Center Utrecht meetup was the quirky presentation delivered by Blockchain030. Titled "Crypto in Space", it proposed a hypothetical situation where there exists a colony on the Moon or Mars, and how that would work moneywise? Blockchain030 founders Susanne Pieterse and Marc Buma speculated that having physical coins or banknotes in space would be way too unwieldy an undertaking, and questioned "would you leave your money on another planet?" They discussed three different scenarios that illustrated how cryptocurrencies and blockchain can be used by future interplanetery colonists. One of the more offbeat scenarios was a blockchain based on Mars, with miners/validation situated on the red planet, but outworlders could also participate and create accounts. The pros would be that could provide a way for people that live on Mars to generate an income. Mars would become a Tax haven, especially if exchange to/from Earth coins would be possible. Complicating factors of course would be how to power the miners/validation on Mars, the question of and how successful digital currencies would be in a very small population as would be on Mars initially. A pair of the slides from the presentation can be seen HERE. On Monday the 28th January 2019, Lisk Center Utrecht (LCU) inked a partnership agreement with these interesting folks from Blockchain030. Blockchain030 is THE hub for blockchain technology within the Utrecht region. Their goal is to exchange knowledge, collaboration and business consultancy through meetings. Lisk center Utrecht's aim similarly is to create awareness for blockchain initiatives and help people through sharing knowledge, networking and collaborations. By Lisk Center Utrecht facilitating a physical location for designers, developers etc. to work together it will help many blockchain initiatives to grow their projects from a central hub. LCU is over 200 square metres of private office space with around 40 places available.... and all 100% free to users. These two partners wiill mesh together really well in my opinion. It is expected that the founders of Blockchain030 (Marc Buma , Eric van Riet Paap and Susanne Pieterse) will regularly be present in the LCU. You can read more about Blockchain030 HERE on their official website. I would advise using a browser with a translate function when viewing it if you do not speak Dutch.
Lisk's Good Month for Exchange Announcements.
You may remember how back in late January I wrote about Lisk getting the green light to move from the main mass market section of the KuCoin exchange to their KuCoin Plus Trading Area. Once tokens are promoted then KuCoin users can assume that these projects are well performing, are solid, and have less risk than the tokens traded in the main market. To be upgraded, projects had to meet three separate criteria.
Tokens must be ranked in the top 40 on coinmarketcap.com
The project needs to rank in the top 10% for trading volume out of all projects listed on KuCoin for two months consecutively
The project must also be highly rated by KuCoin’s internal review system
Now as well as the KuCoin upgrade Lisk has also received an upgrade from the Binance exchange. They have been awarded the V Label badge on the profile of their Binance Info page. This signals to the customer that Binance Info has determined the authenticity of the project team related to the Lisk project. Once a token listing receives the V Label badge, Binance users can assume that this project is legit, and in theory should be less risky than the tokens traded without the label. Great news for Lisk's profile on the exchange I feel.
The final piece of good news that I have to pass on is one I am sure you have heard about already, but it bears repeating for those who have not heard the news yet..... Lisk will be available to trade on Bitpanda from March 7th. In a public twitter poll to select Bitpanda's latest listing Lisk garnered 44% of the vote versus 26% for Dogecoin, 23% for Basic Attention Token, and 7% for Golem. Bitpanda is an Austrian based cryptocurrency exchange catering mostly to Europe with a user base of over 900000. This listing is great news for Lisk; more eyes on us and more liquidity. Great stuff.
Hello everybody. The LISK project and it's enthusiasts are always busy, and this week past has certainly been no exception. Seeing is believing, so here is a recap of the highlights and interesting items from the past week on the LISK subreddit and beyond.....
Lisk's 11th LIP – Some Viewpoints on the Proposal to Change to one Vote Per Account.
I am sure you are all aware by now that HQ has just opened the discussion for their 11th LIP (Lisk Improvement Proposal) dealing with the "change to one vote per account in our DPoS". A thread was started on the Lisk subreddit announcing this LIP content and it provoked a lot of intense debate. This LIP of course is for now just a proposal by the Lisk project team, and it should create discussion around what is best for the network. HQ advise that any interested community members should join the conversation by signing up to the LIP mailing list HERE. Lightcurve science team member Iker posted "Hey guys, we are looking forward to your contributions regarding this and other proposals. We will check all the community inputs in the mailing list. Community Lead of the Lisk project, Mat Piaggi, produced a summary of the initial discussion on the Lisk Chat channel regarding this latest LIP. It features Iker from the Lisk science team and Chief R&D Officer and Co-founder of GNY, Richard Jarritt. You can read it HERE
Lisk Sidechain Project's CEO Attends Meeting With the EU Commission.
Christian Junger, CEO of the MADANA project recently met with Dr. Florent Frederix, a Cybersecurity expert from the European Commission in Brussels. I have heard that they discussed eprivacy, and cybersecurity of course. The importance of GDPR compliant technology for a more privacy-driven business world was chief among the talking points with MADANA being touted as one of the suitable project to uphold this imperative. It is no surprise so that the MADANA project is due to be one of the first major dApps to be built on a Lisk sidechain. This platform for data analysis using Blockchain technology allows participants to get in on the data market with their own data, whilst simultaneously preserving their privacy by design. The MADANA project has closed its pre-sale and is now preparing for its main sale You can view an image of Christian's meeting in Brussels HERE.
LISK Sidechain Project's Founder Releases Three Exciting Pieces of Development Info.
You are all probably aware of GNY.io, the team bringing Machine Learning to Lisk via the sidechain LML (Lisk Machine Learning). Well, Chief R&D Officer and Co-founder of GNY, Richard Jarritt, in conversation with the projects followers on the GNY telegram dropped three exciting pieces of info over the the last few days.
1. Low fees. The development team, which includes head of blockchain development, Leo Liang (known from the Asch decentralized application platform), have concluded their design where the Machine Learning data will be written into a contract. This is created with a low fee and then the Machine Learning reply (the prediction) is returned with another contract.
2. Timescale. The team are aiming to get this Machine Learning and codebase integration completed by the month of March.
3. Unique. You may may have seen blockchain before..... you may have seen Machine Learning before..... You may have even seen blockchain and Machine Learning combined before, however no competitors as yet have implemented or even attempted such a system where all the Machine Learning is done on chain, so data does not leave the security of the chain. Plus the Machine Learning script does not grow exponentially. It is specifically coded to shed unneeded weight and prune off information, so that the data does not become too large for the chain. With each block, GNY's machine learning system is reading past data and the current data inputting into the block. It then makes a note of the pruned output, which is included in a contract for the next block. The GNY universal Beta Api plug-in update is out now and testing is welcomed for commercial developers aiming to work with Machine learning and blockchain. You can visit Github to view the steps to run it HERE.
Lisk Play Prize Pool Swells and Another Lisk Game is On the Horizon.
A new community contest created by Lemii is receiving a great deal of support from the Liskers at large. Lisk Play is fun tool enabling simple contests to be played for a nominal amount of LSK. It's aim, besides bringing community together with fun, is to showcase a simple use case for transaction fields in explorer such as time, date, message, and so on with trivial value transactions. This is entirely a community initiative and has no affiliation to Lisk HQ, Lightcurve or the Lisk Foundation. The first engagement of Lisk Play is a contest where the goal is to predict the opening price of Bitcoin as at 00:00 on the 1st of March 2019. Entering the competition costs 1 LSK and the closest prediction wins the sum of all LSK collected plus a top up fund kindly donated by stellardynamic of www.liskusa.io The prize pool has now swelled to 120 LSK. You have to get moving though to enter as the deadline for all predictions is February 16th. You can check it out HERE. In my opinion Lemii is to be commended for the work he has put into this project alongside his consultants Crosssy, Maul, Lisk.ftw, and Sexor (minions).
Now to the other Lisk game that is upcoming. My sources tell me that a Telegram contest is being worked on at present. I believe it will take the form of a treasure hunt type contest with hints given that will lead the lucky winnes to a cache of LSK. Sounds good? Of course it does. I will have more on the game in a short while.
LISK Videos around the World: Misss Bitcoin.
Dutch crypto Youtuber "Misss Bitcoin" released a new English language video titled "TA MONDAY | Technical Analysis on Bitcoin, Litecoin & Lisk". Misss Bitcoin AKA Maddie describes herself and her channel as follows..... "Seven years ago I became enthusiastic about Bitcoin, Cryptocurrencies and especially charting. I fell in love with the charts but besides that I’m still super excited about what the cryptocurrencies will bring us in the near future. I’m honored to be a part of the revolution and I would like to take you with me on this journey. Within this expanding crypto universe there is still so much to learn and I want to share this with everyone that is interested in (trading) cryptocurrencies". She says she loves Lisk and it is one of her one of her favorite cryptos. Analysing the Binance chart in the video she says that although it not a very positive chart currently, she is still very positive for Lisk. She goes on to say that the next 10 to 14 days will be crucial to see if it LSK tests the bottom of its current chart. I took the liberty of cropping her current video to allow you get straight to the Lisk TA. You can view it HERE. See what you think and don't forget to give the Youtube channel of the original poster a thumbs up if you find it of value.

WeTrust AMA - October 6 (Originally in Slack, formatted to Reddit)
Hello everyone! It took me a bit longer than last week due to family obligations but here’s the transcript for the third WeTrust Slack AMA! Like last week the majority of the questions were collected through Sli.do and not everyone left their username.
AnonymousWhen do you plan to start marketing and more social media outreach? Patrick.WeTrust As we near the rollout of the TLC, we plan on increasing marketing and social media outreach. This is necessary since it is important that we get the word out of what we are building. AnonymousAre you still on track with the roadmap? When can we see/play with the alpha app? Patrick.WeTrust The dApp is currently being worked on by our engineering team and is scheduled to be released in a few weeks. The features have been locked down and the team is working hard on building out the many features. AakeelrWhitepaper is a must and it shouldn't be delayed. Whatever revised version needs to be done should happen and be visible on the site asap if possible. Patrick.WeTrust We have an older version of our whitepaper (pre-crowdsale) here: https://bravenewcoin.com/assets/Whitepapers/WeTrustWhitePaper.pdf Our top priority is building out and delivering on the Alpha Release of the TLC and resources are focused on that. Once this is complete and more resources are available, we will update the whitepaper. AnonymousAs a large holder of TRST - how can I be assured recent pushes from the SEC and Trex (theyre cleaning house) will not impact TRST? Do you have legal counsel? George.WeTrust We're not aware of any changes on Bittrex side, and we've just reached out to them to see if there's any information they need from us. We are very conservative in our approach towards regulatory/ compliance issues, and we will continue as such by working with our legal counsel. AakeelrNeed more exchanges listing TRST to safeguard the token value from today's incident of Bittrex.... Patrick.WeTrust We stand firmly that delivering a quality product that will impact the lives of many as our prime mission and goal. If we are successful, I believe the exchange issue will be small as many will want to list our Token. AnonymousAny update on getting the whitepaper back on the website? Patrick.WeTrust We are working on a new landing page of our Trusted Lending Circle page which will feature a new experience of what our app will be like. This is just a temporary page: https://tlc.wetrust.io/, but the new site will be at this domain soon! (hopefully, next week!) JealdAre you going to complete your TLC Alpha build mid-October as per your roadmap? Patrick.WeTrust Yes, this is the current target. Running 1 week or so behind, but we are trying to push to squeeze for lost time. There will be an update in the next community blog post. AnonymousThe Trusted Lending Circles product due for release in December. Where will it be released? Is it an app for the pc? Will it be accessible on mobile devices? Patrick.WeTrust Correct. The TLC is slated to be released in December. This first iteration will be a Chrome Web App. In the future, mobile definitely will be on the horizon as a large portion of the world uses mobile and do not have computer. DgutDo you guys have any plans to revamp the current wetrust.io design and logo? Some projects like Waves have recently "upgraded" to "professional" design and copy-writing, I think that's the way to go because good design is crucial for user adoption today. Patrick.WeTrust We have updated the website and will look into the current design of the logo. Thanks for the feedback. Dgut Updating doesn't equal improvement though. :slightly_smiling_face: The current design has too many flaws. See stripe.com and fleep.io for kick-ass designs. Is this something you guys are taking seriously? Other well designed sites: standuply.com and elev.io ... see the difference? Patrick.WeTrust Fair enough - I will loop in our designers @hailey.wetrust and @yutai to take a look at what these sites have and takeaways we can make. Yutai.WeTrust We are very focused on the user experience and adoption. The design team is currently working on make sure we have a smooth UX in the TLC dApp. But we love community feedback and if there is anything else, please don't hesitate to let us know. Patrick.WeTrust Thanks for chiming in @Yutai! AnonymousWhen are you going to do anything besides amas? George.WeTrust We have a diverse list of channels of communication available -- slack, telegram, bi-weekly updates, bi-weekly AMAs -- let us know if you all think there are any that we should drop and any we should be adding and we're all ears. Jcga:) Despite hardwork are you guyz ready for the new NBA season via Golden State Warriors, I little feel you dont really care about NBA ;) Go WeTrust ! Patrick.WeTrust Golden State Warriors is our local team :) JealdDo you have a roadmap for 2018 available for general viewing?Patrick.WeTrust See answer below. BoghiumdHow i can get to your telegram channel? As i don’t see any links on your website Patrick.WeTrust Telegram isn't as active yet. I recommend Slack/ Reddit/ Bitcointalk. BalengiVisionCan you send steph curry and kevin durant WeTrust gear when you release TLC? patrick.WeTrust We can try. They would need to fill out the WeTrust Tshirt Request Form though :) BalengiVision Lol cool. Do you mind if we tweet at them? Patrick.WeTrust We can do that sure! AnonymousWill you be providing a roadmap that covers some part of 2018? It helps investors understand the company's vision. Patrick.WeTrust Yes, we are working on this and have had some internal discussions already. Our VP of Product, @tomd is working on this now and we will have a few iterations for internal discussions and debate before it is released to the general public. BalengiVision Release timeframe? Patrick.WeTrust I will follow up on Tom, and he shared with me a preliminary draft yesterday. We want to have something that is actionable and something we can hold ourselves accountable for. Thus, it will require some work internally before we can release something to the public. Rest assured, it is being worked on and each date is carefully thought about. BalengiVision Totally understandable! Patrick.WeTrust Thanks. Cheers, @BalengiVision - thanks for all your support and activity in our Slack. Aakeelr2) While planning the TLC has the team reached a point and zeroed on it where the TRST token should claim its value. How will TRST derive its value. George.WeTrust We are building out a sequence of Financial dApps and will use a "Freemium" model. Essentially, there will be basic features that will be free for our users (e.g., TLCs charge no fees up to 10 users in the circle), but more premium services -- will require some TRST tokens to use (these are currently being planned, and will be included in the roadmap). The main goal is to drive user adoption first, and then monetization after there is a critical mass. SecunoidWhat happens when somebody collects their payout and stops contributing after that? Patrick.WeTrust To thwart bad actors, WeTrust will have four deterrents: 1. Reputation risk/ Reviews: ROSCA groups will be limited to "trusted associates" - family, friends, co-workers, fraternal groups, and professional/ religious organizations. Defaulting on payments could mean social shame and loss of reputation amongst an individual's closest associates. The idea is that for ROSCAs with small enough dollar amount commitments, reputation risk will be sufficient enough to keep participants honest. Reviews may also be left by other members to show how they felt about any participant. 2. Legal risk: ROSCA formation will allow trusted associates to e-sign and bind each other to a legal contract which requires faithful adherence and payment to the ROSCA. Defaulting on payments and stealing could mean legal repercussions. Legal recourse will only be used if individuals are participating in a "high-stakes" ROSCA and legal action would be worthwhile. I've spoken to our legal advisor and she believes it will be possible to create auto-populating templates that will be tailored to each person's ROSCA terms. 3. Collateral risk: Collateral commitments may be required prior to joining a ROSCA. The collateral will be entered into a smart contract which will surrender the property to the ROSCA group if the ROSCA agreement is breached. Collateral can be liquid-cash like assets like Bitcoin or even less liquid assets such as auto/ home titles. Our system will benefit significantly from the ability to accept less liquid assets, since the majority of middle classes’ net worth is locked in real estate. Collateral would allow capital to be used more efficiently. 4. Smart contract bounty (self-enforcement): If a ROSCA participant violates the terms of the ROSCA, the ROSCA group may start a “Bounty” on the retrieval of funds. If the funds are retrieved, the “Bounty” is paid out to the person who enforces the terms of the ROSCA. These deterrent options will be on an "opt-in" basis and participants will be able to choose the level of security they want. Aakeelr4) We saw the last update where product functionality has frozen and bugs are being fixed. When do we expect the alpha release precisely? George.WeTrust We will have an update next week on the status -- we're working hard to hit the initial targets. BoghiumdIs there a chance to have a discussion with Vitalik that he would somehow confirm directly may be via tweeter post that he actually is suporting this project? George.WeTrust We met with VB during the early phases of the project, and soon after also brought on Bo Shen (VB's partner at FenBuShi Capital) as an early supporter and advisor. We have a number of advisors and they all provide some help in their own specific capacities. For example, Benedict Chan the Director of Engineering at BitGo is nearby and he often drops by, Emin Gun also checks up on us regularly. We engage with all of advisors as needed and ask them for help if it can materially help the progress of our development or user adoption. As such, we will consider reaching out to him when our product is ready for testing. BalengiVision That'd be great. Then everyone won't think we have been making stuff up :) Not you guys, but we the people. I tell peeps Vitalik advises early in the project, and people say we are making things up. SecunoidAnd how do you manage the risk of delinquent payments? damo Hey @Secundoid this was answered in the last AMA. Lemme see if I can track it down real quick. Patrick.WeTrust Here it is: To thwart bad actors, WeTrust will have four deterrents:

Secundoid k damo nice thanks @patrick.wetrust One of our community members had a really interesting idea about using a voluntary community pool as an opt-in insurance option that would pay a small percentage of the ROSCA pool to the community pool. An interesting "staking" option for TRST holders! We're looking to provide insurance products anyway right? ;) Patrick.WeTrust Yes, we are as an evolution of the TLC. @damo beefMajority of PPL here are selfish enough to admit that they want to see the TRST token become more and more valuable. I've read that it will be used for Premium features, but are there other use cases for the token itself? Does it power dApps in the environment? Can I supply X amount of TRST and use that to fund ROSCA circles? Patrick.WeTrust That is correct. Another way to think of Trustcoin is that it is the gas that will power various interactions on our network. The current use case we have in mind are premium features (e.g. sort of like a redemption ticket), but please keep in mind that... the mission of WeTrust is to build movement toward financial inclusion/ empowerment and the token will be a core piece of that. beef The more we are able to cycle TRST through the ecosystem the better. Thanks Patrick Patrick.WeTrust That is correct. We will be keeping this in mind as we roll out our dApps and other initiatives. Cheers, @beef! BoghiumdBinance has started to do monthly voting, can you submit a request to them so on next voting wetrust coin will participate as well? Patrick.WeTrust Is this something the community can request? Boghiumd @patrick.wetrust actually someone from the team have to submit a request, this is what i read on their website Patrick.WeTrust Can you email me the link? [email protected]. I'll look into it. Boghiumd @patrick.wetrust https://binance.zendesk.com/hc/zh-cn/requests/new I presume this one is DgutTrustcoin's success is glued to Wetrust. But Wetrust's success is glued to the success of humankind. Any application that simplifies and makes practical the use cryptocurrencies are not only necessary but crucial for the survival of the tech and ideology. Therefore @george.wetrust and @patrick.wetrust should care more about design. (y) Patrick.WeTrust Thanks for all your feedback and involvement @dgut ThomasTrustcoin's success is glued to Wetrust. how? i dont get it.. for me it looks like TenX.. they have a token but dont realy need one for the Company... same on Iconomi ... good Projects but they dont need realy a token... i dont get it on TRST ... for me it looks like you dont need realy a token to build this system.. Can you help me to understand this? I am wrong ? Patrick.WeTrust Another way to think of Trustcoin is that it is the gas that will power various interactions on our network. The current use case we have in mind are premium features (e.g. sort of like a redemption ticket), but please keep in mind that... the mission of WeTrust is to build movement toward financial inclusion/ empowerment and the token will be a core piece of that. Thomas hmm ok thx BalengiVision Can you elaborate on the premium features? Patrick.WeTrust Premium features: lending circles above a certain size (>10 individuals), reporting data to a Credit Agency, accessing a WeTrust ATM to redeem lending circle proceeds, etc... More features will come in due time as we continually iterate and learn from each version of our product. BalengiVision So credit agencies will accept ROSCA data? Sounds intriguing though I've never heard of that before! AmazongirlHave you spoken to Ripio (formerly BitPagos) yet about how they handle crypto-fiat exchange risk over a loan's lifetime? https://ripiocredit.network/#benchmarks * *George.WeTrust** We haven't, and will read into how they are able to do this. We are working on some ideas of our own which may bring about stability for users. Aakeelr@george.wetrust @patrick.wetrust we have some good suggestions from @amazongirl. Would love you guys to actually take a view om that. Patrick.WeTrust I will take a deeper dive into her suggestions and if I have any questions, will follow up with her. Aakeelr Thanks for this. You will love her idea Dgut@patrick.wetrust Are you familiar with https://klart.co/pixels ? Patrick.WeTrust I am not, but these sites look beautiful. Dgut Yeah, I hope you guys aim for something like that. It's not rocket surgery either :) SecunoidWhich country/area are you targeting when you go live first? Patrick.WeTrust Local, immigrant communities within the Bay Area. (SF, CA) Dgut Hopefully global. The nature of this whole environment and tech is global. CowMooFlage It definitely is global but they want to be testing close to home. Dgut It think westerns might be inclined to use the app if it's sufficiently well designed and works well. damo @dgut see above. Aiming for local immigrant communities CowMooFlage The biggest issue I see is Westerners not understanding it's purpose because it's not embedded in our culture. damo Right For that i think there are other permutations of the platform that could take off quicker and be stickier to the global north. Dgut that's the cool part, it's a completely new thing for them. Patrick.WeTrust There are pockets of immigrants from Mexico, India, etc. that have used this in the past back home. In fact, my grandmother and father was part of a lending circle back home in Vietnam. We will go after this crowd and do a pilot test in these communities. BalengiVision I think if the idea is explained well, westerners will love it. I never heard of it until I joined this group. Dgut Exactly. The reason westerners don't use it is because they never heard of such a concept. When I heard of it I thought... why the f aren't we doing the same? I see it being used among students AnonymousAmazonGirl from the Slack community as an advisor? She has freely been an amazing one. We need to keep this happening with fair compensation. George.WeTrust We will reach out to her to gauge her interest -- I think generally we can continue improving our engagement with our community, and leveraging our supporters so we can move faster. We already have a good number of referrals for potential partners, potential pilot groups, folks who would like to work for us, etc... and please do keep them coming! CowMooFlageGeorge, Patrick, can Damo be listed on the site as a "community manager" or similar position? He's in this channel day in day out answering questions and we love him to bits. By far one of the best people you could ever have doing such a job; humble, cheerful and honest. Patrick.WeTrust We can have this happen - wonder why this hasn't happened sooner! CowMooFlage Awesome :) thanks Patrick :D *Patrick.WeTrust * I will ping @damo for his blurb, picture and get that to @hoang.wetrust as soon as possible. Thanks! CowMooFlage @damo pink wig? damo Lol i have waaay better pictures ready to go lol damo Thanks for such kind words @cowmooflage! I’m seriously blushing over here. Patrick.WeTrust Thanks! both of you :D Bradicle Yeaaaa agree. Damo has been the face for We Trust in this chat since day one for me. Answering all the hard hitting questions day in and out <3 :B AnonymousWhen are you ditching slack? The phishing is out of control! George.WeTrust We have been testing with Rocket Chat internally, and are currently working towards migration. We will have more information on the timing, next week, but we want this to be as soon as possible, in the balance of our product development focus. CowMooFlage Can't wait to check out the new home. Jcga That a pity, Slack is nice compared to the others. I do believe the myetherw... phishing mail notification have decreased, they "collect" nothing. Slack is beautifull with cool features that others dont. Anyway security is super important and with time we will get used to the new place :slightly_smiling_face: CowMooFlage @jcga Slack is a decent platform but it lacks certain control features and flexibility that others have (e.g. the moderation tools were not made to support thousands of users). Jcga Yes sure I understand the priorities. BalengiVisionI definitely see US college students being a great test group! Patrick.WeTrust Yes! There are lots of community college, Stanford, Berkeley... all within 20-30 miles of our office. BalengiVision Exactly. Remember, facebook started off with colleges...now look at it. Once they all graduated, they took the idea with them and BOOM! CowMooFlage Plus, didn't you go there yourself @patrick.wetrust? You could have a professor introduce it to students even? They might be open to it as you're an ex-grad? Patrick.WeTrust Yes, I went to UC Berkeley and @george.wetrust was at Stanford. @U2M8H6DUJ also went to Berkeley and @shinelay to Davis. Definitely will be rekindling some old connections with my old professors :) CowMooFlage @patrick.wetrust It's always nice to come back with something to show off! :> Dgut @BalengiVision absolutely ... there is no reason for this to be immigrant-communities only. WeTrust can become a lot stronger if adopted by those groups (students) ... Kimutai @BalengiVision . Good idea In fact @patrick.wetrust . Students will show us all the flaws and a good number of unheard of issues. All their diversity of ideas is an untapped Gold mine. CowMooFlage Students can be very bold and open about expressing their opinions. Might be a fun brain storm session. Patrick.WeTrust As long as there is a good mix of supply and demand for credit - there is a potential opportunity there. An idea we have been bouncing around... if we could somehow match students (seeking credit) with alumni (that have the wherewithal to contribute to a loan), we could have a large user group here! BalengiVision Interesting concept Patrick.WeTrust yes, it is :slightly_smiling_face: damo I like this. Another connect for Westerners is in auction ROSCAs where they intentionally take the money last as a way to earn a modest return providing capital to the developing world. I'll definitely be doing this. Thanks to everyone for participating in this week's AMA.
UBEX: A DECENTRALIZED GLOBAL PLATFORM HANDLING ADVERTISEMENT IN A PRO WAY WHERE EVERYONE BENEFIT.
PREAMBLE When users browse the internet, such as web pages, social networks, or email, we often get annoyed by unwanted ads. Take for instance, you just follow a link to an article and suddenly your speakers blare. Pop-ups, Banners or videos appear on screen, you accidentally run your mouse over an ad that bursts into life, and an inescapable autoplay video follows you as you scroll down the page. You have to shut up these distractions before you can actually see the content you clicked over here to find. Such experience is so frustrating on the side of each user as all of it is trying to attract our attention to goods and services that more often than not we either don’t need at all, or don’t need at that time. The UBEX ad exchange, through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain technology, changes this game! Instead of annoying ads, we now only receive information that is relevant, useful, and timely. The mission of the UBEX project is to create a global advertising ecosystem with a high level of mutual trust and maximum efficiency. https://preview.redd.it/ph96y7o9ymk11.jpg?width=277&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c762cf017592e1a5e96007df0a98169460983a2c HOW THE UBEX ECOSYSTEM WORKS i. Within a split second of a user accessing a publisher’s website, the neural networks embedded in the UBEX system do the following: ii. Collect maximum information about both the site and the user, analyzing their current interests and needs. iii. Gather a list of ads that would appeal to the user the most, and ultimately select the one that is the most relevant and financially beneficial. iv. Determine the best format and the most appropriate placement for the ad on the website, based on the strategy of maximizing results. Users now much more eagerly respond to advertisements, which lead to an increased number of purchases for the service providers/goods sellers as the case may be. This is how UBEX makes life easier not only for the users of the internet but also for advertisers and publishers. Within the UBEX ecosystem, ads are relevant for users, effective for advertisers, and profitable for publishers. https://preview.redd.it/o4ll3x751nk11.jpg?width=727&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5c1855946675d8ff75a63ac2b0957bcc4dd8b9ed SPECIAL BENEFITS OF THE UBEX ECOSYSTEM Briefly discussed below are some salient reasons why UBEX ecosystem is of important benefit to the advertising world at large:
Advertisers no longer need to hire marketing experts or waste money on testing different advertising channels which may prove to be ineffective as Neural networks automatically weed them out, selecting only the most optimal distribution of ad content among suitable websites.
Publishers no longer need to worry about filling ad slots or low ad returns. This burden is taken over by the Artificial Intelligence. Every slot is filled with the most relevant advertising content at any given moment in time. This results in higher earnings for publishers.
UBEX operates in a distributed, decentralized environment, based on the blockchain technology. This ensures transparency of operations for all participants. Blockchain stores all necessary data for the artificial intelligence learning, as well as information on publishers’ sites, ad content, offers, history of the participants and their reputation.
As the UBEX participants’ reputation grows, their earnings grow as well. Advertisers with a good reputation will have their ads displayed more often and on better terms. Plus, they will be trusted to use the performance-based compensation, and only pay. Take for instance now, for actual requests from potential customers or only for concluded sales. If a publisher has a good reputation, their ad slots will be filled with the most profitable ads. On top of that, they will be able to productively tokenize their websites by receiving UBEX tokens in advance for future periods.
Smart contracts and UBEX internal tokens will keep the middlemen and their fees out of the equation. Ultimately, advertisers reduce expenses associated with selling goods and services, and as a result gain an opportunity to lower their prices.
INTERESTING UPDATES ON THE UBEX PROJECT Below are some of the successes that the UBEX project has achieved so far, and of course more of the successes are in the making to evolve in the nearest future as the project is an exceptional one and the team behind UBEX is so competent and not relenting in their pursuits to making UBEX widely accepted:
The UBEX Token has been added to the Binance Info resource.
BE PART OF THE COMMUNITY - You're not a coder but you want to help this great open source project? Here's what you can do
So the crypto space is no longer populated solely by programmers. Many people can't write a line of code but are really excited about the fast-paced developments, especially in an open-source context and want to help in other ways. For those people I've listed some things anyone can do to help the VIA community. This is a work in progress, I'll be happy to add suggestions! Note that this is not a guide to pumping VIA. This is solely a list of ways to help the community progress and give the project more visibility. Connect with VIA's social media channels Since you're reading this, you're probably already subscribed to /viacoin on Reddit. Here are some other channels to like/subscribe/follow/...: Twitter Facebook LinkedIn Telegram Slack But...but... I don't even use TwitteFacebook/... much, why would I join the channel? Social media numbers are important indicators for exchanges, investment groups, etc. When you apply to be listed on an exchange, they ask for the number of subscribers on these platforms. They want to know that there's a solid basic interest in the project. Plus, higher numbers make people more curious in general. We see many others are interested in a topic, we ourselves start wondering what it's about. The Telegram is more or less the beating heart of VIA on the marketing and exposure side. Take a look at it once in a while to see if there is currently an exchange polling for new coins, a reddit post that needs some exposure, etc. Donate to the marketing budget The VIA marketing team is currently experimenting with ads on social media. These don't cost much, but there is a cost involved. Consider a small donation to the marketing budget: BTC: 333qb5W7hskvwTmGaWLAvyirgYe4zpFYZR VIA: VrJ5UDJu72o1y8FFAmiPZeNgCChPytxibM This way it's not always the same people bearing the costs. Spread the word about VIA online Post news and other content about VIA in forums, local websites, crypto groups, etc. Be prepared for scepticism or lack of response. There are many smaller crypto projects out there and people only have so much time. The focus for VIA has been on technical improvement for a long time, only now is marketing and PR catching up. Persistence is key. After letting 10 messages about VIA pass, someone might start wondering what this project is about after message 11. When myself and some others started posting on this subreddit and in the big crypto related subreddits about VIA, we'd get an average of 2 upvotes, 2 downvotes and 0 comments. Two months later /viacoin has doubled its subscriber count and posts about VIA are starting to get traction: https://www.reddit.com/CryptoCurrency/comments/7abfyh/the_viacoin_team_is_working_on_via_integration/ is an example. There's still a long road ahead, but progress comes with perseverance. Tell someone about VIA offline We're not talking about shilling here. With all the news about Bitcoin in mainstream media the subject might pop up at your next family dinner. Tell people about that currently underground cryptocurrency with the 24 second block time, atomic swaps and soon anonymous transactions. It's all about brand awareness here and nothing beats word of mouth in that regard. You may also think about telling retail store owners about VIA. The local store you visit every day may regret missing the e-commerce boom and want to jump on this train first. Mainstream adoption always creates great exposure for cryptocurrencies. Don't be annoying online and be a positive member of the community Go in the VIA telegram chat and tell people about the great idea you have for VIA, instead of asking "When Moon?". Hop on over to the Bitcointalk ANN and let the developers know the hard work is appreciated. Give ViacoinMike a shout out for so enthusiastically working to put VIA in the picture. When an exchange lists VIA or a big news website dedicates an article to it send them a message saying that you appreciate it. It's a small world, word goes round about communities' ways. No one in the VIA community is being paid for the efforts they put into this project. It's all passion, a little compliment once in a while encourages people to keep pushing on. Vote It closes soon, but there is currently a vote on new coins to be added to the Binance exchange: https://www.binance.com/vote.html You may look at the current rankings and think there's no way VIA could catch up and reach the number 1 spot. You'd be correct. But it's still important to show exchanges that, while VIA doesn't yet have the numbers of the big hype coins, there is a solid community that makes it worth listing at some point in time. Get creative Become Viacoin Jesus. Make a Viacoin puzzle Draw Viachan Put some sneaky viral marketing on your band's instagram (disclaimer: mine) ... To conclude: it doesn't take much to help an open-source project like VIA. But when you start noticing the positive impact of your small contributions, it's very rewarding. Be part of something big.
A list of upcoming "Bitcoin fork" being promoted for "dividends"
The following comment was removed in /btcfork - not by any moderator afaics so I guess it was automated spam filtering. But it is an excellent example of how Bitcoin forks are being promoted to further the "dividends" agenda of diluting the importance of hard forks as methods for upgrading Bitcoin, and making them seem to serve no other purpose except money grabs or scams. This was posted by user "solracor" in a post titled "Próximas Bitcoin Forks 2017 - 2018 - Dados CryptoCurrency". It is recommended to be very cautious when dealing with these forks, no doubt some of them are outright scams which will try to get people to enter private details and keys on websites to steal their coins. I am posting this here only for awareness of possible scams. Get ready for a wave of Bitcoin forks! Bitcoin forks: 12 until early January! Upcoming Bitcoin Forks 2017 - 2018 Without further details, the following Bitcoin forks are planned for 2017 -2018 (we'll add more forks as they are announced and notes how forks occur):
Bitcoin Diamond (BCD) is a fork of Bitcoin that occurs at the predetermined height of block 495866 and therewith a new chain will be generated as the BCD. Bitcoin Diamond miners will begin creating blocks with a new proof-of-work algorithm, and will consecutively develop and enhance the protection for account transfer and privacy based on original features of BTC. This will cause a bifurcation of the Bitcoin blockchain. The original Bitcoin blockchain will continue on unaltered, but a new branch of the blockchain will split off from the original chain. It shares the same transaction history with Bitcoin until it starts branching and coming into a unique block from which it diverges. As a result of this process, a new cryptocurrency was created which we call “Bitcoin Diamond”.
BitcoinX (BCX): an intelligent contract (like Ethereum) based Bitcoin. Block 498888. https://bcx.org/. NOTE: Snapshot has already occurred; Futures are being traded, no currency has been released.
Super Bitcoin (SBTC): like BitcoinX, an intelligent contract based on Bitcoin. Block 498888. http://www.supersmartbitcoin.com/index.html. NOTE: Snapshot has already occurred; Futures are being traded, no currency has been released.
Bitcoin Platinum (BTP): According to the website, "Satoshi's original vision of decentralized electronic money". Around 12 December. Blocks 497757 / 498533. https://bitcoinplatinum.github.io/ko.html TIP: Bitcoin Platinum is rumored to be fake see: Bitcoin Platinum Created by South Korean Teen as a scam, the local market is erupting.
Lightning Bitcoin (LBTC): A fork that is intended to provide "fast lighting fixtures". It uses smart contracts and can host decentralized applications like Ethereum (and Super Bitcoin). On December 23rd. Block 499,999. http://lightningbitcoin.io/
Bitcoin Cash Plus (BCP): according to the website, "fulfilling the original promise of Bitcoin". Around January 2, 2018. Block 501407. http://www.bitcoincashplus.org/
Bitcoin Atom (BCA): Bitcoin Atom is a bitcoin fork with segwit enabled with atomic swaps, hybrid consensus and ray network. Exact fork block / date TBA. See: https://bitcoinatom.io/.
UNITEDBITCOIN: LINKING VALUES AND SERVING THE WORLD! The distribution of phase 2 of the UBTC will occur at the time of block # 501878. UNITEDBITCOIN UPGRADES BITCOIN THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF INTELLIGENT CONTRACTS. Bitcoin Labor Testing and Emission Model, with new high speed smart contracts. Future Lightning Network support for faster, more cost-effective transactions. UnitedBitcoin (UBTC) will be allocated to active Bitcoin portfolios at a rate of 1 BTC to 1 UBTC at fork time. Without pre-mining, stable system with fixed reserves in fiduciary currency See: https://www.ub.com/
Bitcoin Interest ("BCI") is a frictionless global payment system that focuses on three main areas of Technology, Community and Savings. Our payment system has a new integrated savings technology that allows our users to park their coins and earn interest. January 22, 2018 at 11:59 PM GMT, or in block 505083. See: https://www.bitcoininterest.io/
To summarize the above and connect some points, Super Bitcoin and BitcoinX are Ethereum competitors (as they use smart contracts like the Ethereum network), Bitcoin Platinum and Bitcoin Cash Plus are basically competitors of Bitcoin Cash (Bitcoin's competitors as currency ), Lightening Bitcoin is a blend of Super Bitcoin / BitcoinX and Bitcoin Platinum / Bitcoin Cash Plus (since both are designed to be competitive as currency and uses smart contracts), and Bitcoin Silver and Bitcoin Uranium are competitors of Bitcoin Gold ( competing for Bitcoin as a valuable store that is profitable for mine), and finally Bitcoin God is a Chandler Guo Christmas gift (simply meant to reward people for having Bitcoin). This may sound crazy, but if you think about these as user-triggered dividends, it starts to make a little more sense. To ensure you get your coins from the Bitcoin forks up to the Bitcoin, you are holding: Make sure to be in a Bitcoin wallet that supports the forks (Coinomi multiwallet with over 300 different coins has been good on this), an exchange like Binance with a good record of support forks (Binance supported Bitcoin Cash, Gold, Segwit2x, Diamond and Super Bitcoin and offered futures on the snapshot date or around the date of each snapshot, meanwhile as a user pointed out, hitbtc has been good at supporting forks, Super Bitcoin futures have been traded on hitbtc immediately after the fork, for example), or otherwise being in control of their private keys when forks occur (for example, in a portfolio like Bizcoin Core)! Unknown. Here are some of the other Bitcoin HF / air drops planned for 2018: Bitcoin Rubies (BTCRUBBY) https://www.bitcoinruby.io/ ERC20? Bitcoin Dollars? Bitcoin Stones? Bitcoin Script BTCS reborn from the ashes? Bitcoin Steel? Bitcoin Razor? Bitcoin Bronze (BTCB). Symbol: BTCB Decimal: 18 Total supply: 50 million ERC20 Distribution Airdrop rounds Round 1 Airdrop https://bitcoinbronze.io/ Bitcoin Iron? Bitcoin Atomic (ATOM) Atomic Coin New Blockchain is coming out soon. Let's launch a new chain of Atomic Coin blocks with faster features. Then, deposit your atomic currency for exchange in the Web wallet before 1/1/2018. https://www.atomicproject.org/ Bitcoin Elliptic? Bitcoin Hash? Bitcoin XOR?
